My Path to Family Medicine
I’m Dr. Erin Oakley, and I’m here to offer the kind of care I grew up believing in.
I’m a board-certified family medicine physician, and I’ve been caring for patients since 2016. My passion for medicine started early—growing up with my dad, an osteopathic family physician—I spent much of my childhood tagging along on hospital rounds, office visits, and even home visits. Those experiences shaped how I see medicine: not just as treatment, but as a relationship rooted in trust, connection, and care.
What drew me to family medicine is the continuity—the opportunity to care for people through all stages of life, and to partner with them through the challenges and milestones life brings. As an osteopathic physician, I’m also deeply committed to treating the whole person, not just symptoms. I believe in the body’s natural ability to heal, and in the importance of understanding the structure and function of the body as a connected whole. Those values are at the heart of my practice.

Why I Founded Oakley Pine
I founded Oakley Pine to reconnect with the heart of medicine.
Before starting Oakley Pine, I worked in a traditional fee-for-service clinic. Over time, I began to feel that the system didn’t align with my values. Appointments were rushed. Real connection was limited. I rarely had enough time to care for patients the way I knew they deserved—and it often came at the expense of time with my own family.
That experience is what led me to Direct Primary Care (DPC), a model that realigns healthcare with what matters most: time, trust, and access. For me, it was a return to the heart of medicine—the kind of care I saw growing up, and the kind I always wanted to provide.
Beyond the Exam Room
I love family, fresh air, and a good game of pickleball.
I’m originally from a small town in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York.
These days, when I’m not at the clinic, you can usually find me spending time with my husband, Grant, our two kids, Abe and Perry, and our dogs, Gatsby and Mowgli. I love being outdoors and have recently gotten into pickleball—it’s been a fun way to move and unwind.
