Membership-based primary care that puts you first.
At Oakley Pine Family Medicine, we honor your unique story and health goals—offering thoughtful, personalized care that supports your well-being in every season of life.

A better kind of healthcare starts here
If you’re tired of feeling like just a number, you’ve found the right place.
If you’ve ever felt rushed through appointments, unheard by your provider, or frustrated by confusing bills and long wait times, you’re not alone. Patients have come to us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, and tired of navigating a system that doesn’t seem to put their needs first.
At Oakley Pine Family Medicine, we believe healthcare should feel different: calm, clear, and centered on you. Imagine knowing your doctor is just a message away, having the time and space to talk through your concerns, and finally feeling confident that your family is supported.
That’s not just possible—it’s the foundation of everything we do here.

fewer barriers, more connection
At Oakley Pine Family Medicine, we believe great healthcare starts with knowing you—not just your symptoms.
Our approach is simple: fewer barriers and more connection.
By removing the insurance middleman and limiting the number of patients we take on, we’re able to offer care that’s more personal, more proactive, and built around your real-life needs.
Whether you’re looking to manage a chronic condition, get same-day support for an unexpected illness, or stay ahead of your health with preventive care, you’ll have a doctor who knows your name and shows up for your family.
As a member, you’ll have direct access to your physician by phone, text, or in-person visits—and longer appointment times that allow for real conversations.

How to get started
From meet & greet to ongoing care, here’s what to expect.
We’ve designed every step of your care to be personal, practical, and easy to navigate—from your first visit to every touchpoint after. Here’s what you can expect when you get started.
-
Book a free 30-minute in-office visit—an easy, no-pressure way for us to get to know each other and see if the practice is a good fit for your needs.
-
Once you join the practice, you’ll get access to a secure app on your phone. From there, you can send messages directly to your provider, schedule appointments, monitor your payments and view your full medical chart—all in one place.
-
To keep costs low for patients, we operate with minimal office staff. The patient app is the fastest and best way to reach your doctor during the day. Patients will also have a phone number available to reach their doctor after hours for urgent questions that cannot wait until the next business day.

-
Direct Primary Care is a simple and transparent healthcare model where you pay a flat monthly membership fee directly to your doctor for comprehensive primary care services. This allows me to spend more time with you, offer same- or next-day appointments, provide easier communication (including by phone, text, or video), and focus entirely on your health—without interference from insurance companies. No rushed visits. No surprise bills. Just a trusted, ongoing relationship centered around you.
-
Osteopathic physicians (DO) are fully licensed medical doctors who are trained to treat the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. They have the same training as Allopathic Physicians (MDs), but they also receive specialized training in the musculoskeletal system and hands-on techniques called Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). This approach helps them address root causes of illness and support your body’s natural ability to heal.
-
Yes, we do recommend having some form of coverage for healthcare needs outside the scope of primary care—such as hospitalizations, emergency care, surgeries, and advanced imaging. While the Direct Primary Care model can greatly reduce your reliance on the healthcare system, it's important to have a safety net for unexpected or high-cost situations.
Plans that tend to work well with our model include high-deductible health plans, catastrophic coverage, PPOs, and health cost-sharing organizations. These options allow you to combine the personal, accessible care of DPC with coverage for more complex or expensive needs.
HMO plans, on the other hand, can be more difficult to pair with DPC. They usually require you to choose a primary care physician within their network, which can lead to duplication of services and limits your ability to use Oakley Pine Family Medicine as your main source of care.
-
Your insurance may cover many things, but it often doesn’t guarantee access to your doctor when you need them—or the time and attention you deserve. The monthly membership fee covers your primary care needs: extended visits, same-day or next day scheduling, ongoing chronic disease management, wellness care, and much more. Think of it as investing directly in your relationship with your doctor, with no middleman standing in the way of your health.
-
Yes! Thanks to a new federal law passed in 2025, starting January 1, 2026, you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for your DPC membership. The law now recognizes DPC as a qualified medical expense, which means you can use pre-tax HSA funds to cover up to $150/month for individual memberships or $300/month for families. For Employer-paid DPC fees, don't forget to report it on your employee W-2s.
-
Not quite. While both models offer personalized care and direct access to your doctor, Concierge Medicine typically bills insurance in addition to a retainer fee. DPC is different: we skip the insurance entirely. That means simpler billing, no surprise charges, and more time focused on your health, not paperwork. Our membership fee covers most of what you need for primary care—all with a more accessible price point.
-
By catching problems early, avoiding unnecessary ER or urgent care visits, and reducing the need for many specialist referrals, DPC can lower your overall healthcare costs. More importantly, the care is centered around a strong doctor-patient relationship, which often leads to better outcomes, fewer medications, and greater peace of mind.
-
Absolutely. DPC isn’t just about sick visits—it’s about building a long-term partnership in your health. Even if you rarely need care, having direct access to your physician for quick questions, preventive care, or health planning can help you stay well and avoid unnecessary urgent care or ER visits. Plus, our care includes unlimited virtual visits, secure messaging, and easy communication—so even small concerns can be addressed quickly. For those with high-deductible plans or no insurance, DPC can be a more affordable, consistent way to access quality healthcare.
-
Great question. DPC can be an excellent, affordable solution for small businesses looking to offer meaningful health benefits without the high cost of traditional insurance. You can sponsor memberships for your employees at Oakley Pine Family Medicine, ensuring they have access to comprehensive primary care, same-day visits, and direct communication with their doctor. We can also help you pair this with a lower-cost insurance option for major medical needs. Let’s talk about a custom plan that fits your budget and supports your team’s health and well-being.
-
Same- or next-day appointments are available exclusively for established members. We don’t currently operate as a walk-in clinic, and membership begins only after your initial established care visit. Because we keep our patient panel small, our schedule is designed to be responsive and flexible. Once you’re a member and you need a visit, we’ll find time quickly, and you’ll see your doctor, not someone you’ve never met.
-
Our practice is built on personalized, ongoing care, and we limit the number of patients we serve to ensure quality. You’re free to cancel your membership at any time per the terms of your patient agreement. If you decide to return, re-enrollment is possible one time only, based on space availability. A $250 re-enrollment fee applies. Please reach out to discuss availability if you’re considering rejoining.

I will always listen carefully to your concerns and take your requests seriously. My goal is to partner with you in your care and use tests thoughtfully—to ensure they’re evidence-based, helpful, and in your best interest. If a test is appropriate, I’ll order it. If I have concerns about its usefulness or risks, we’ll talk through the reasoning together. Shared decision-making is central to how I practice.

Lyme disease can have a significant impact on health, and I know how deeply challenging it can be for those who continue to experience symptoms after completing standard antibiotic treatment. While I do not specialize in chronic Lyme disease or offer long-term antibiotic or alternative protocols beyond current guidelines, I take your concerns seriously and will always listen to your story.
My approach focuses on supporting your overall well-being through individualized primary care. This includes addressing areas we can influence—like nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and underlying health conditions—to help you feel your best.
